On this tour we will visit a paradisiacal place at 600 meters above sea level full of ecoturistic attractions called “El valle de Anton”, from the Spaniard explorer Anton Martin. It’s a 1 and ½ hour drive from Panama City with the Pan-American highway. El Valle is located on top of the extinguished second largest volcano crater in the world which erupted three million years ago. Here is the only place in the world where you will see the Golden Frog and square trees which are at   the tropical zoo, together with plants and exotic flowers, monkeys, tapirs, exotic birds and foreign species of birds and mammals. Then we will see the  Petroglyphs - large pre-Columbian drawings of figures at the Piedra Pintada,  La India Dormida (The Sleeping Indian girl) -, which inspired poets and writers to immortalize a legend from the colonial time, el Chorro del Macho- An 85 meter tall rainforest waterfall with an inviting pool at the bottom where you can take a refreshing dip after hiking.  On Sundays, there is the Indian market where local artisans and Indians living around it, bring their handicrafts, plants, vegetables, the famous carved soap stones, ceramics, trays, wood furniture, bamboo cages and the national flower: the Holy Spirit. We will enjoy lunch in between all this activities in a local restaurant.

Optional: At El Valle you can have the Canopy Tour, that consists on a steel cable system with a cabin that runs through the canopy of the forest, above Chorro del Macho (waterfall).
